INFORMATION ON BETAINE

Betaine (anhydrous) is a nutrient found naturally in the body. It is also known as trimethyleglycine (TMG). Betaine can lower levels of homocysteine within the blood. High homocysteime levels occur when the body cannot break down a particular protein and can cause fatigue, weakness of bones, eye lens issues and weight-loss.

Betaine is commonly taken with vitamin B6, B12 and folate. Be sure to check with your medical practitioner before use.
