INFORMATION ON L-LYSINE

Lysine is one of the nine essential amino acids that cannot be synthesised by the human body and can only be obtained through your diet.

Lysine plays major roles in protein synthesis, hormone and enzyme production and the absorption of calcium. It’s also important for energy production, immune function and the production of collagen and elastin. A deficiency in lysine can result in a deficiency in niacin and slow muscle repair.
