INFORMATION ON FIBREGUM B®

Fibregum is an all-natural, plant-based prebiotic fibre based on 100% acacia trees. It is widely used in many health products for its beneficial effects on the gut and overall well being. 

Large amounts of research has shown that the role of fibre in health extends far beyond improved laxation. It has benefits on cardiovascular health, weight management, immune health as well as colonic health. 

The recommended daily intake of fibre is 25g per day, however modern diets are very low in fibre-rich foods and the recommended amount is often not reached. Fibre-enriched supplements are an effective way to increase daily intake.

A prebiotic fibre is a food that promotes the growth of beneficial bacteria and microflora in the gut which confer benefits to our health. Prebiotics feed the bacteria in the gut, enabling them to thrive.

Fibergum can improve the integrity of the gut lining by restoring gaps between the cells of the intestinal wall, preventing and regenerating the condition known as leaky gut. Fibregum has 90% fibre content. A diet high in fibre is known to have many benefits and can extend the feeling of fullness after a meal, aiding in weight management. High fibre intakes are also linked to lower bodyweight and less cardiovascular disease by positively influencing levels of fatty acids and cholesterol in the blood.

Studies have shown that Fibregum is fermented in the gut without producing any gut distress and is known to have a high ‘digestive tolerance’ which can be a problem with other sources of fibre such as inulin for example.
